As the driving force behind three small businesses, MJ possesses an intimate understanding of the unique legal challenges entrepreneurs face. She recognizes that cost considerations often deter small business owners from engaging with legal counsel.  As a result, MJ bridges this gap by offering accessible, cost-effective solutions, ensuring that fellow entrepreneurs can safeguard their interests without financial strain. 

Her practice is built on the premise that quality legal support should empower businesses of all sizes, fostering growth and stability in an ever-evolving legal landscape.

She began her career as an attorney at a large law firm in the litigation group. She represented clients in state and federal courts across New York, regarding a variety of contract, trade secret, intellectual property, financial services and business-related disputes.  Additionally, MJ worked with clients in niche industries, and online businesses with contracts, data privacy, cybersecurity, and breach response.  MJ also worked for a boutique law firm that provided general counsel services to clients in niche industries.

MJ was awarded the Super Lawyers®, Rising Star Designation for Commercial Litigation in 2023. Rising Stars is a designation of top-rated practicing attorneys selected through extensive evaluation. She was awarded this distinction for 2023.

When MJ is not working, she can be found coaching youth ice hockey or little league baseball. MJ lives in Amherst with her husband, two children, and dogs.
